How to choose a projector

Choosing a projector is not as easy as it sounds. There are many things to consider, and you will want to make sure that the one you choose has all of the features that you need for your specific needs. A projector can be used in a variety of ways, so it’s important to think about these different uses before narrowing down your search. In this blog post, we’ll go over five things to consider when choosing a projector!

Five Things to Consider When Choosing a Projector

Pick The Right Resulotion

If you are looking for a projector that will be used in an office, School or Home, you will need to pick the right resolution. The higher the resoulution, the clearer and crisper your image is going to be. If you are looking for a projector that can handle big screens, then go with 1080p or better!

Look For Brightness But Don’t Over-spend:

The brightness of a projector determines how bright it is when projecting an image on screen. This makes all the difference in colors as well. You also want one that has great contrast so there isn’t too much light pollution from external lights like lamps or windows while watching movies at night time. A lot of projectors have automatic modes which detect this, but if not make sure to get one with “Full HD 1080p” or better.

Be Aware Of The Light Source Type: There are two types of light sources for projectors – LCD or DLP. But which one do you choose? Well, both have pros and cons but typically as far as brightness goes, DLP has been found to produce more lumens (brightness) than LCD type projectors. If color quality matters to you, LCD type projectors are said to be the best.

Keep Throw Distance in Mind:

Throw distance is how far away you need to be from a projector for it to produce an image on your screen or wall that will work with what you want, and this is usually measured by feet. If the throw distance isn’t big enough, then you may have problems leaning back in order for other people not in front of the projection see what’s happening without getting out of their seats or standing up. The general rule of thumb is typically about five times as long as your screen size but everyone has different needs so remember- one person’s perfect might not suit another!

Avoid Generic Brands That Lure With Cheap Price Points:

With projectors, you typically get what you pay for. If a projector is too cheap to be true- it probably isn’t worth buying. A lot of generic brands will lure in customers with their low prices but the quality doesn’t measure up and this can result in something that won’t last as long or produce an image that’s clear enough when compared to other branded ones while costing more money upfront than on the back end. So avoid these types at all costs!

Consider Other Extras That Are Important To You:

In addition to brightness, contrast and resolution there are many extras available when looking for a new projector so do your research beforehand before settling on one because chances are you’ll find some great features that you’ll want to have!

In conclusion, there are many things that should be considered when choosing a projector. There are so many different uses for them and it is important to think about what each one of these specific needs may need before narrowing down your search.
